Terms of Use

Effective Date: February 7, 2026

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the Word Ladder application (“App”) developed by Andrew Jazbec (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, subject to the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This license does not allow you to use the App on any device you do not own or control, and you may not distribute or make the App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.

Subscriptions

Word Ladder offers auto-renewable subscription plans that unlock premium features. By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store or visiting https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions after purchase.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Subscription prices are displayed in the App before purchase and may vary by region. Prices may change from time to time, and we will notify you of any price changes in accordance with applicable law and App Store policies.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the App.
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, game mechanics, and software — are owned by Andrew Jazbec and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the App beyond the limited license described above.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Andrew Jazbec shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. In no event shall our aggregate liability for all claims related to the App exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars ($50.00), whichever is greater.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including RevenueCat (subscription management) and Statsig (analytics and experimentation). Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these services. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.

Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and Andrew Jazbec only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. The following terms apply to your use of the App in connection with Apple:

  • Maintenance and Support. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to the App. To the extent that any maintenance or support is required by applicable law, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for providing it.
  • Warranty. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
  • Product Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims you or a third party may have relating to the App or your use of it, including but not limited to product liability claims, any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  • Intellectual Property Claims. In the event of a third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
  • Third-Party Beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  • Legal Compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted within the App and on our App Store listing. The “Effective Date” at the top of these Terms indicates when they were last revised. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App will cease immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law.
